Hi all,
I just wanted to post to say thank you. I've been lurking for a long long time (under a different username that I can't seem to get the password for!!!) and this week have finally become debt free.
I didn't post my situation or SOA or anything but have just taken on board all people have said to others and have managed to keep my debt-clearing in focus just by visiting this forum regularly.
I've cleared £12000 in 3 years and cannot believe the feeling of being debt free at last!!! I'm now starting on the mortgage!
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you all for being here :T Good luck to you all xx

Thanks and good luck to you both too
It's definitley a feeling worth fighting for. For me it wasn't so much the financial difficulty in clearing the debt but avoiding the temptation to get in to more debt!! It's sooo easier to convince yourself that you can stick it on the card and pay it off next month and stuff like that.
We're now booking up Disneyland Paris as a treat for the kids and for the first time ever it'll be paid by debit card rather than credit card!!!!
Keep going all of you, don't deprive of yourself of the odd treat here and there, just keep it all in perspective and stay focused xxx0 -
Thanks Yargo, I'll definitely be staying around, it's become an obsession!!! Plus I'd like to try and give a bit back :A0

Well Done Stardust, thats great news:beer:
Hope you have a lovely time at Disney, it's great to pay for something, without going into debt for it, I can't believe how thrilled I was to pay for my house ins in one lump, instead of 12 ( with interest ) & on a debit card!! & that was just boring insurance - not a holiday:j
Good luck with paying off the mortgage:TComping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner
