Does anyone know if there is a hairdressing/beauty college that does cheap haircuts/treatments in the glasgow area?

Do any of the major salons in Glasgow do 'model evenings' so we can have our hair done by a trainee hairdresser at discounted prices?
I need to have re-growth tinting about every 4 weeks and I'm tired of paying a fortune for that. I would prefer salons rather than hairdressing colleges.
Many thanks.0 -
The best thing to do is phone up decent salons and ask them if they do models. I go to Keith Hall here in the Midlands. It is a chain here, but I don't know if there are any in Scotland.
My advice is to go to really good salons as they will be training students to their standards. I have curly hair, which is difficult to cut well, but by going to a good salon I get a great cut at a really cheap price. From my past experience, when I have paid full price at cheaper salons, they quite often don't know how to cut curly hair well (though of corse some will, don't want to offend anyone)0 -
Rainbow room used to have an academy where you could be a model for much less - link below to the website with price list although it refers to course dates for 2007 so may be worth checking if the prices are still valid

Teach me to merge threads without reading your post properly as I see you would prefer a hairdresser to a college but I'd suggest you just ask in any hairdresser as all the juniors need models and often they have a training night or day. Check and see if the hairdressers you are thinking about have a website as usually it will tell you there which day or evening is for training.0
