I currently have a loan and was considering moving some of the loan balance onto a 0% credit card, if I get a credit card with 0% on purchases can I use this to make a lump reduction on my loan and get 0% on the credit card??

Thanks

  • You should check with your lender first of all to make sure there are no early redemption penalties, or that if there is a penalty that the saving on the interest would cover it. You could then use a super balance transfer 0% card (see Martin's article) to pay the appropriate sum into your bank account, then pay off the loan.
