has anyone else had problems with the huggies vouchers at sainsburys??

Options
I printed off the internet vouchers from huggies which are to be used at Sainsbury;s but as I have never shopped in Sainsbury before as Tesco is lots closer, I asked at the counter if I could use it, they point blank said no as thats Sainsburys policy as they have had alot of people doing fraudlent transactions with vouchers online and to contact huggies. Not understanding what she meant by fraudlent-she said there has been people going in with 27 vouchers and redeeming more than what was allowed. Has anyone else had this problem?? And could I use the voucher in Tesco??

So you asked in Sainburys if you could uses the Huggies free pack of newborn nappies printed from bounty (if i remember right) and they said no.

You cant use them in Tescos.

People have probably been taking advantage of this offer in sainsburys, i know i managed to print off 2 and used both even though it said one per customer. I expect some may of photocopied and used loads.

If i were you i would just go to sainsburys choose a newbie looking cashier and get your free pack of nappies. No need to ask at customer services as you are doing nothing wrong.

I feel guilty if i go bak to sainsbury and dnt want to get a cashier into trouble if CS have already said no. Think i'll try tesco 2moro and see if i can get it through, theres a few regualr cashiers who out them through for me, I remember when I first tried using vouchers about 4 months ago I said I could use up to 5 he replied 'no you can use as many as you want' so I pulled out all the vouchers and he knocked the bill down loads for me :j

Surely if your worried about getting a cashier into trouble at sainsburys why are you not bothered about the one at Tesco who is more likely to get into trouble for taking a sainsburys coupon when tesco can not redeem them. (Sainsburys can get the money for them)

By using Non redeemable coupons at any supermarket it is likely to encourage them to tighten up on any coupon being excepted.

    Well said, hflower74! :T

The coupon in question clearly says Sainsburys so it should not be handed in at Tesco where they can't get the money back!

pcyam, were you wanting to actually buy the Huggies nappies? If so, then there's no reason I can think of why Sainsburys would say no. This type of coupon is the least likely sort to be used in great numbers due to the print limit system. I really would just buy the Huggies and hand over the coupon for it.

If you weren't buying the Huggies then it's fair enough that CS said no, as Sainsburys don't (officially) allow coupon-use without buying the product.

    I love this coupon :)
  • My local store did not stock size 1's which were free, only size 2's which meant paying towards the cost of £5.98. So I said I had to have size 1's and would they give me a sainsburys packet instead - which they did !
