I've been thinking for a while that I should put important docs and photos in a fireproof box but any I've seen have been tiny and expensive.
Does anyone have one and can tell me what to go for? Also anywhere cheap to get one?

Similar size one £20 at Argos http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=3801&langId=-1&searchTerms=7017278&go.x=0&go.y=0
Some bigger ones here, but they are a couple of hundred for a decent size http://www.safeoptions.co.uk/sotn/category.php/xDep/166
Depends whether you're protecting from fire or theft or both. Larger safes can be bolted down (anti theft), smaller (deed boxes) can be locked in a cupboard (mainly for fire). I bought a large one from B&Q about 15 years ago, intended for client backups at the time, now used for house deeds, holiday float, camera kit etc (anything small/high value). Will hold A4 folders stood up around 12" wide internally (around 4" smaller all round than outside dimesions).0 -
