Any recommendations for hypnosis CD for weight loss?

Hi everyone.
I've been battling with my weight for the past year as I gained a huge 4 stone  following a bit of a breakdown and being precsribed anti'D's. I've had a bit of a weight problem since having my first child 10 years ago but managed to lose a lot of weight on Weightwatchers and maintained that loss after my 2nd child 4 years ago.
For some reason following WW doesn't have the same results for me and I do think the anti-D's haven't helped. I've been off the tablets for about 6 moths but still can't shift the weight. I've been going to the gym, although I hate exercise, and have really tried to cut back. I've even started to try the Hoodia tablets which are supposed to train your brain to know when you are full so you don't overeat.
Anyway, the weight is still not coming off and it's becoming a huge issue for me and I really don't want to end up back on anti-D's. I admit I'm not doing everything I can with healthy eating but have cut back a lot on portion sizes. I just can't seem to muster up the willpower. BTW I've lost 4 stone in the past and kept it off and given up smoking so I have got the willpower somewhere. Just can't find it.
I thought I'd try a hypnosis CD to try to convince my brain that I really don't want all that food. I can't stand Paul McKenna, in fact I dislike him so much I think I'd eat more just to annoy him
so any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the long post but thought I'd give you all a bit of background.

I should be having some on my new website but in the meantime if you dont like paul mckenna how about a woman. One of the biggest names in hypnotherapy in USA Wendi friesen.
I think her products are good but sometimes you get hammered on the postal cost. If this is so she usually chucks in a freebie or two to compensateWho I am is not important. What I do is.0 -

Hi
I've used Pat Walder's No Diet Weight Loss book & CD. The book is quite good at making you look at the reasons you overeat, and basic ways to combat this. The Cd is really good, I've downloaded it to my Ipod and play it every night in bed. Its also great for my insomnia too!! It says that you are meant to play it twice a day for a month, but i dont have the time, so i just play it once. There's the actual hypnosis section that lasts about half an hour, then an instrumental section of the background music that you're meant to play in situations when you would normally eat.
I think it cost £7 from my local chemist. Bit cheaper than individual sessions!

Finc, have you tried speaking to your GP?
I have pretty much similar probs to you, though I am still on a.d's.
I am having a huge fight with myself and willpower. Ive mentioned it to my GP and she has referred me to a schem run by the NHS (I also think in conjunction with the British Heart Foundation as well, but dont quote me). I attended a one to one meeting with a nurse and she taliked me through the programme.
It is free of charge (which is good, I hate to think how much Ive spent on diets in the past)
The courses run every 12 weeks and you attend once a week for about 2hrs with others like yourself but you all start on the same day so everyone is new, there is no weigh in, It is bascially getting us back to basics with cooking and how we think about food etc. I also get a free membership to my local council leisure center for the whole of the 12 weeks and I can do anything, swimming, exercise classes, gym etc. I can go on a cookery course too.
After the 12 weeks I attend once a month and the whole thing goes on for 12months.
I start on the 17th April and to be honest I cant wait now. Im sick of fads, wasting money etc.
Good luck

divinemissm thanks, I think I might mention it to my GP. I never thought of going there! I do believe it is a willpower thing with me as I could write a book on healthy eating and cooking but have trouble putting it into practice. Do you find the anti-D's increase your appetite? I was ravenous while I was on them and couldn't believe how hungry I felt. They also seemed to totally stop my metabolism. I've got in some bad habits now that I'm really struggling to break.
Thanks for the input :T:smileyhea0 -
My favourite is the Dog diet which is very easy.
Buy a dog (or get a free one from dog rescue) the larger you are the larger the dog should be. Cook meals as normal and take normal portions. then give 20% to the dog. After meals take dog for walk. that way you eat less and exercise more plus get guard dog, companion, amd other doggie lovers to talk to in the park.Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -
that's a lovely diet, absolutebounder!!0
