I will be 21 very soon and want to find out about pensions. I don't know anything about starting one, if i can start one yet or anything.
I am aware that there is a likely hood by the time i am able to retire that there probally wont be a state pension for me.
Could anyone point me in the right direction to get some basic info on pensions. I really don't know anything about them but i think i should.
Thanks, Faerie

That is unlikely to happen. You will have a higher state retirement age. Currently set at 68 for you. However, it is worth noting that the basic state pension is only worth £4500 a year so whilst its useful, it isnt going to go far. What may be a lot different by the time you retire is the level of benefits and the second state pension. They are the things best not to rely on being there.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
