HMRC approved pension schemes are exempt, BUT, if the OR discovers high value contributions have been made (usually as AVC's) and suspect that they have been a way of diverting money away from creditors, then they can - and it is rare - go after a portion of a pension fund.

No high value contributions here so hopefully I'm safe. My company pay in 3 times what I pay in and I've worked there 10 years so I think that's why the value is so much.....

    Hi MamaC,

Superb advice you've had there, and spot on quoting by Scarlett. It's the timing and nature of pension contributions that's critical.

We put the odd house and classic car into our pension fund, but it didn't really raise any eyebrows in terms of what we were earning at the time.  :D

All the best for Friday, if I don't get on line before then, which I probably won't; oh the joys of gainful employment.:confused::D
