I well and truly fell off the wagon.OH and I both worked good friday and him BH Monday too, OH also had pay deal agreed and will be back payed from October. We were lulled into a false sense of security and have spent the money before we have got it.
yesterday we went to a retail park and spent £79 in borders on books for all the family, £98 in next again on clothes for us all, £15 in sports world on trainers for ds and (this is my biggest regret) £39 in pizza hut.The grand total of our blowout is £231.
I am very ashamed but everyone had a nice day and the hopeless spender (OH) see my other thread is ecstatic, when Ive shown regret he says its ok as we have money coming to us but I should have paid that off the credit cards.
Did anyone else fall off the wagon?

I managed, surprisingly, to stay on the wagon, over the weekend, despite it also being my daughter's birthday.
Mind you, it probably has more to do with being called in to work on Good Friday, Saturday and, at the last minute, yesterday afternoon/evening.
Never mind - I still have the bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon, which I was going to enjoy yesterday. I will find a quiet time and will, then, gradually 'slide' off of the wagon. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Didn't do too well at all, what with having 2 days off work! DH and I went to Cambridge on Friday and did a little shop in Tesco's. But we also went to McDonald's for lunch - oh dear! They're doing the Monopoly offer again, so we went large (extra 30p per meal)! Then oh dear again yesterday as we went to Thetford to buy a new a new camera (using wedding vouchers), and McDonald's was right next door! So we did it again! All very tasty (well I think so anyway!), but ultimately it was £15.50 on 2 meals that we haven't seen benefit from - we've not won a thing, not even a free cheeseburger!
Oh well, we can't get it back now! At least there isn't a bank holiday for 6 weeks now!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

I did too
- because Easter's so early it was the same time as my birthday, so my celebrations lasted five days! Erm, six, counting today!

I did too. Spent £8 buying lunch out which we havent done since new year. And another £70 buying stuff that we need sooner rather then later, but it just happened all at once and added up to an expensive w/e.
Oh and we've lost 2 days earnings due to the BH w/e!
And then we had a bit of a disaster and DH had to go and buy DIY stuff to fix the bathroom. I havent dared ask how much it was but it was urgent.0 -
We fall off the wagon every weekend if that makes you feel any better. This easter the damage wasn't tooooo bad - £30 petrol to visit family, £80 on a family meal out, £20 taking the kids cinema and £50 for dinner party food and drink eeek!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

I'll make you all feel better here.
This is just what I can remember.
£60 in Asda on Saturday morning on shoes, two pair of jeans,a shirt boxers and socks.
Gave OH £50 to pay for food, drink and half a karaokee machine for Saturday nights party at friends house(we normally half everything with them it is fairer). Party was good right enough.
I spent £10 on beer as well, £6 on some of that Blue Wicked as well for cheeky vimto cocktail fountain.
Sunday was vintage. I spent £120 on taking OH to pub the for an Indian(that was only £40). I then deposited her at the house and went to my local(she won't go to it as it is a madhouse). Came home and fell asleep on the floor.
Yesterday I spent £13 on rubbish at the shop and £6 on a pizza.
I make that £265 and I still don't feel right. To be fair though Easter is probably the second biggest day of the year up here after Christmas or New Years Day.
Next week will be expensive as well as I am fishing on Saturday. But I am working the next 3 Saturdays. The way I see it is as long as I am paying a good wad to my debts every week I am entitled to a blow out every now and again. Not every week though like I used to.£2 coin/ £460 -
i spent way too much in craft shops over the weekend, no wonder i try and stay away from them. There goes my plans for my honorarium, but thank god i got it otherwise i'd really be stuffed.0
