bylromarha wrote:For those of you who are stocking up on birds eye roast beef to earn your clubcard points, please can we share ideas on how to cook it imaginatively? I'm sure it would help our freezers get restocked with the stuff if we actually looked forward to eating it!
I'll kick off:
Beef Stir fry; added tomato puree, tabasco (free pizza tabasco!), veggies, brown sugar and soy sauce to the beef in gravy and served with noodles.
Beef Pie: Cooked beef, added onions and mushrooms and topped with pastry.
Beef Pasty: as above, but rolled in pastry!
And I can't think of any thing else to do with it!
How are the rest of you eating your beef?

There was a Tesco promotion where they were paying you to take away Birds Eye beef with gravy (because they were giving you so many Clubcard points), but we were becoming so bored with it we needed a few recipes to liven it upThanks to all who post constructively.

lol, we've still got loads in the freezer we are still to use up.
we did have it for a roast dinner like it's intended but found the gravy awful. so if anyone has any other good ideas i'd be grateful.
could you use it as a base for something else in the slow cooker? married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
