£10 off order over £50, valid until 23 AUg, by email today: M3 LA TG W4. Can i remind you that asda preauthorise the FULL amount of the shop from your bank, so make sure this wont clash with anything else going out, and remember that those full funds wont be available to you until asda sort their end out!

Ive just done my first online shopping at ASDA. I used a similar code that gave me £10 off a £50 spend. So my shopping should have been £55 but is actually now £45 because of the code... so how much is going to be taken from my bank?? And if they take the whole £55, then how do i get my £10 off? Im a bit worried now, as I actually spent more money than I should have, to get the £10 off. Basically I bought a pack of beers for the husband as I had the voucher, but I wouldn't have if I didnt have it. Im worried now, My shopping has just cost me an extra £10 !! And its going to be delievered 2night between 6 and 8pm!
    Can someone plzzzzz help?"!

  • Hi, if you spend £55 and used a £10 voucher, providing it was valid they will only debit £45 from the bank. It worried me too at first

They will pre authorize the full £55, meaning that your usable balance in the bank will be reduced by £55 - but when the transaction is comleted they will only have taken £45. I have just done a shop this week and that is what happened to me. it took 3 days for it all to go through the wash but only the reduced amount was taken in the end
  • Has anyone else had trouble with the Asda site in the last 12 hours or so?

  • I did my shopping last night at around midnight. It got stuck for about 20 mins then - in the middle of checking out. I assumed it might be something like their system backing up (it being midnight), I was able to resume after though.
