am i in somebodys will?

i have been informed though a friend of a relative that i am in an old relatives will, without getting into the complicated life-back story of this, how can i find out if i am mentioned, if i am, how would they know where to contact me?

Any advice would be great, im not sure if there is a database they can find me on, or if i can find any info on, so any info would be good info, thanks in advance.

Why not send a friendly postcard with an up to date address? Even if you are not actually included, being friendly now might lead to being remembered after all.

iya I had to do this due to a family rift I went to the London office and all i needed was the full name of the deceased ,date of birth date of death and also their permanent address at the time of death .
I looked it up and found it on the microfiche gave the number to the clerk went back in an hour and the copys were ready.
Be warned we then had to see a soliciter to get our share and this has been an expensive process please seek legal help if you are included.Link below explains as you can do this all by post

  • If there was Probate then the will becomes a public record and anybody can get a copy.
You will need to provide full name and date of death and which Registry the death was registered.
