Hello all, My partner and I have just came to the end of a 2 year fixed rate and our mortgage has jumped from 500 - 570! We tried to remortgage and found out that I had a CCJ (is in the process of being removed) We really cant afford the 570 (500 was a struggle). I bet they will find you £70 amonth on DFW, if £70 really is a struggle then I would fix your mortgage for as long as possible, slipping into another 2 year fix is obviously no use for you if money is so tight, unless of course you are serious about splitting up.then bear in mind any ERC you may have to pay if still in your fixed period.
