Worried sick - advice required re BRO

I have been reading the info on BRO's and this phrase is in the text

"But a bankruptcy restrictions order may be made against you if your
conduct has been dishonest or you have been in some way to blame for your bankruptcy"

Does that not apply to most BR's. We borrowed too much or is it just me?
In my case the overtime dried up.

Any constructive advice welcome

Thanks

There was still nothing, but you could see it.

I think that sentance above that you've highlighted applies to people who have deliberately taken out more credit than they knew they could afford to repay or when they knew they were already insolvent.

Lots of people on here have worried themselves sick about getting a BRO but I've yet to hear of anyone actually getting one :)

On the other hand, I'm almost 100% sure my H will get one and we have accepted that - the reason being his on-line poker playing contributed largely to our going BR and this IS something that BROs are given out for - gambling is seen as 'reckless behaviour' in the eyes of the OR, which is completely understandable.

    Hi,

As you said most people facing BR would of with hindsight done things differently. BRO's are given for instance where the BR lost money through gambling, or borrowed a large sum of money just before BR and cant account for it, or paid perhaps family in preference to others or transfered property to attempt to hide assetts from the OR.

If you have done the " normal" panic, head in the sand, actions that most of us did then you will have nothing to worry about.
