incorrect information on credit reports

i am having a nightmare with my bank regarding incorrect information they added to my credit report and need help and advise x :confused:

    Your bank will have an official complaints procedure...use it.

    Your bank have obviously sent the information to the CRA's for a reason. If you have a dispute with that, then you have to work it out with your bank.

    The CRA's will not change any information shown on your say alone, they will only act upon info supplied by a creditor, though you are entitled to put a note to say that the information is being disputed or to explain the circumstances behind a default.

    i have had information on my credit report which is wrong ie date of birth i have been intouch with the bank and they will not talk to me as they say that iam giving them the wrong date of birth what can i do

  • hi thanks for your advise. i am already into the 8wk complaints procedure as the ombudsman is involved they have given me £200 so far but i am still unhappy as they have caused me many many problems over my report the information on my report has been corrected but it has made my score very low and prevented me from being able to buy a house and even get credit cards. i cant even change bank account
