Innocent are asking people on their mailing list to complete a taste survey. They will give a voucher for another carton in return.
I went & bought the carton & filled out the survey as otherwise it's not v kind to the company, who I have to say are rather nice to people on their mailing list (inc giving Christmas presents)"This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0 -
The only sugar in Innocent smoothies is FRUIT sugar, which you get if you make your own too. And there is nothing but fruit in the smoothies either so any calories are fruit ones and will be in your home-made version.
As for the pulp, that is included in the Innocent smoothies, and of course it's mashed up, otherwise you wouldn't be able to drink it as you'd be busy choking .
Mashing the pulp does not take anything away from it's nutritional value.
Good work making your own BTW, though quite how you think yours will be better I don't know.
For those who don't have time, or the access to the exotic superfood berries that Innocent use, you can't get better than an Innocent smoothie. They've even cracked the technology to make 100% recycled plastic bottles now, so even their packaging is good !0 -

Me thinks? Are you Shakespeare? :rotfl::rotfl:
I don't work there at all, I just like their stuff and think it is the best you can buy.
I also find it incredible how ignorant some people are about sugar/calories and general food preparation.
I have visited Fruit Towers on business, its worth a visit if you get the time. Of course they're out to make money just like any other company, but the differences I saw in their ethics and standards convinced me I'll never drink another brand of smoothie if I can help it.:D0 -
I won a year's supply last year (now sadly finished
) and they are truly excellent - and of course they're healthy, they're just pure fruit!
Since my supply ran out, I have been making my own - I enjoy doing it, but they don't quite taste as good (and are less convenient because they don't last), and I'm even not sure I'm saving any money by the time I've thrown some of my favourite fruits in (blueberries etc)...Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

. I stopped buying these when i realised they are pasturised, I know they would have no shelf life otherwise but hadn't thought about it before.
As for superfoods, there was a program by Prof Lesley Regan, the same doctor that promoted NO7 protect and perfect and they found no evidence that there was anything special in the so called superfoods.
So i'm back to trickery/bribery to get my children eating their 5 a day;) .0 -
Totally off topic, but in reply to the person who was wondering about vitamin content...
We did a practical in the lab in our Nutrition class the other week...we tested innocent smoothie, orange juice from concentrate, orange juice not from concentrate and a number of others drinks on the market compared to fruit for Vitamin C....
Innocent smoothies had the same amount of Vitamin C as the orange juice, and the actual orangeSo whatever the other Vit content, I can confirm the Vit C is all there, and that's the one most affected by heat and light.
I'm such a geeky science person, hehe.0 -
Nothing sinister - I didn't get to sainsburies in time to buy the smoothy for the taste test (as London Diva sugested) - but as I normally buy this type of smoothy - I wanted to complete the survey anyway to give my feed back. As no one managed to email me the bar code - I've missed the deadline now!0
