Brand names

Hi
Does anyone out there know of a website or directory or something which gives details of companies who use different brand names for their products.
I resent paying a higher price for goods when I believe that supermarket brand names (for example) are often made by the same producer and are of the same quality.
Thanks
Paula

y do u need it??
y not take a trip to primark?0 -
I don't think Primark sell food?!
Walkers used to make Boots crisps, however they were a completely different product to those marketed under their own name.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Not all unbranded things are the same though they may be made by Kellogs etc but formula may be slightly different. Some companies specialist in own brand products and may change the ingredients slightly for each customer, that being the supermarket
Last time I went in Primark it was only selling clothes or home products like sheets

Hi
Thanks for the replies.
It would be interesting to know who produces supermarket's own brand food but I really used the supermarket thing as an example. I was thinking more of household items as I am having to buy a new fridge/freezer (......and I know that Primark don't sell them!)
