In store at Tesco, displayed as £199 reduced to £89- BUT ACTUALLY SCANS AT £59
I can't find this unt for less than £100 anywhere, so at £59 this has to be a bargain- see more info
Becker, a leading OEM manufacturer of Sat Nav systems, has extended their product portfolio and launched the Traffic Assist 'High Speed'', a navigation system that combines outstanding mobility, touchscreen operation and street level detailed mapping 37 European countries. The unit is a step up from the previous Traffic Assist, featuring a faster processor and full postcode search.
Pan-European Freedom
The device is supplied with comprehensive street-level mapping data for 37 countries 'in the box'. Each country also contains an extensive array of special destinations such as service areas, hotels and petrol stations, which are shown on the map.
Becker Traffic Assist comes with an integrated 'Specially sensitive' SIRF III GPS receiver. Another part of the equipment package is the GPS aerial, which can be unfolded in areas of poor satellite reception. The device does not require a speedometer signal. It is simply and quickly mounted on the windscreen or dashboard, using the mounting set supplied with the product. The viewing angle can be adjusted to any position.

Postcode Search
The 'High Speed' comes complete with a FULL postcode search facility, making entering a route a lot quicker and simpler for the user. Simply type in your postcode, and the system will calculate the route down to the specific road.
Independence
Two standard rechargeable batteries provide independence of car electrics and allow navigation in car-free town centres. The batteries are charged automatically as soon as the device is connected to the car's cigarette lighter and last upto approx. 3-4 hours.
Operation of the Becker Traffic Assist 'High Speed' is as easy as it can get. Simply press a button and the start menu offers four large touch screens on the best-in-class Low-reflection 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen display (see below); for navigation, music, images, and settings. Each of these touch-sensitive fields leads to further control and setting options clearly assigned to the respective function and screen display.
Dimensions in mm (W x H x D): 127 x 81.2 x 30
Easy Navigation
Under "Navigation", for instance, you will find a large, full-screen "logic speller" for entering your destination. Once you have entered the postcode or town, the display only shows the letters for the streets that are inside that town or if you entered a postcode it will bring up the road name and give you the option for entering a house number, it couldn't be easier!
Another remarkable feature of the Becker Traffic Assist 'High Speed' is the quick call-up of the 50 most recent destinations, or a list personal favourites - for example Home, Office or Bob's House.
Not Sure of The Speed Limit - No Problem
Uniquely, the Becker Traffic Assist 'High Speed' will even show you the speed limit on around 90% of the UK roads. It won't warn when you are exceeding it, but it'll tell you what it is.
Best-In-Class Colour TFT Screen
Using the latest touchscreen technology, destination guidance by Becker Traffic Assist 'High Speed' is carried out in a brilliant 3D or, optionally, 2D map display. The colour scheme is modern and unobtrusive for optimal readability. The system will even automatically zoom in and zoom out at junctions.
MP3 and Picture Viewer
Additionally, the unit features an integrated MP3/WMA player for listening to music stored on the SD card, using headphones, due to the NEW high speed processor the Traffic Assist will now allow you to listen to music whilst navigating. A picture viewer allows displaying photos stored as jpg files, making it compatible with most digital cameras. Large touch screens offer further setting options for both these functions.
Countries included on the Becker Traffic Assist 'High Speed' as standard:
Austria, Albania, Andorra, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece (the Athens area), Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia-Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, UK, Vatican City
