  • I am going to email them about it anyway, a friend of mine is veggie and she dont have any option
MacDonalds are there to make a profit, not to kiss the backside of every politically-correct minority group in the UK ;)

(but I suspect Ben500 is right anyway, he/she often is)
Thanks to all who post constructively.

Last time they did this you could have the filet o fish or veggie burger any day during the promo at BOGOF. They didn't openly advertise it but it was in the small print.

Thanks to the OP, might just grab a burger or two when the offer starts. I am not vegetarian..used to be tho. Like another MSE said, McDonalds are ok in moderation, just like everything else in life.

Apologies for going off topic mods! We often do.

    The Veg Society says
"A vegetarian is someone living on a diet of grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with or without the use of dairy products and eggs (preferably free-range).

A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish or crustacea, or slaughter by-products such as gelatine or animal fats"

    Interesting this tho..

Fruitarian. A type of vegan diet where very few processed or cooked foods are eaten. Consists mainly of raw fruit, grains and nuts. Fruitarians believe only plant foods that can be harvested without killing the plant should be eaten.

I'm pretty confident they do, they just don't bang the drum about it, next time your there ask them what alternative offer is available as they won't give the info out unless asked for, I'm sure there are McDonalds workers out there that will be able to confirm which alternatives are available.

No have asked the last few times they done a similar offer and they refused. Claimed its only the offer listed.

    Oh well........

I guess as most companies and their offers its a matter of who you speak to you as there is no consistency with their rules!

Its so annoying they never do anything for non meat eaters. i.e veggie and fillet o fish! :(

    Thanks anyways!

Your choice is not to eat the rubbish in the first place! Much better than a McBOGOF is not eating there at all. Good for your heart, your health and the environment!

About the fish thing... The problem isn't always that the person rejects eating meat. It could be a religious issue. For example, a Muslim can only eat meat which has been slaughtered in the correct Islamic way so eating Macd burgers is unlawful. But a fish does not have to be "slaughtered" so a Macd fillet is fine to eat.
