Yeah really, Helen's right.
When our clutch went, we phoned around all teh local garages, but Mister CLutch was cheapest by far...about £50 cheaper.
The bug bear is then you may have to travel further, which may be difficult in a car with no clutch.
I guess they're heaps cheaper cos they do clutches all the time so suppliers are cheaper for them.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

Or alternatively they could use cheaper inferior quality parts and cut corners.
Cheaper is not always better.0 -

Hi Freddie,
I think there is a place in Cromac Street (Ormeau Avenue end) called Clarkes that does clutches. Not sure if they are trade only, but you could try them.0 -

I could be cycical or i could be someone who works in the motor trade and know about the company and how they operate.......0 -
Motorcraft at merville quoted me £85 for a "blueprint" clutch for my celica which is a fair bit cheaper than clarkes were looking. If it's a jap car then blueprint are as good as OEM. I was quoted a good price for fitting by a mates brother who's just opened his own garage in Crumlin, not mates rates just a sensible hourly rate.0
