Morning jono
I never had a car to fight for but in answer to your question. When you have your OR interview he basically goes through your SOA with you and asks any questions he feels he needs to in order to assess your situation. So you will have plenty of time to fight your corner then,so i would not worry too much on that count.DalipFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

yep Jono..as dalip says you should have plenty of time to argue the case for the car...if when you have your OR interview you come on here before we can listen to what your arguements are for the car and assist or advise on any other ways to word it to ensure you keep the motor.

When I spoke to my OR, he said that as its worth less than £2k and I use it for getting to and from work and doing the school/childcare run, he had no interest in it. I think it differs from office to office though.
Up until he said that, I had prepared a big speech about how I needed it - I'd even done a test week on public transport to prove that there was no way I could make it to work/school/childminders on time without it. I'd also figured out public transport costs for myself and DD to prove that it would only save me about £20 a month by getting rid of the car.
If it isn't worth much and you can give a good argument for it, hopefully you'll be ok.
