I wanna new PC

Heya,
I want to get a new PC, but I haven't a clue what to get. Basically, I'm not on any fixed budget, and I don't need anything flash - just for surfing the net really. No gaming, etc.
Should I build one (well, get a mate to!), buy from a shop or buy online? How much should I spend for a 'goodish' PC, and what system requirements should I look for?
Any help would be trully appreciated.
Regards,
Laffers

If you honestly just want it for surfing the web and emails etc have a look on ebay - you don't need 'top spec' nor anywhere near and you can get something pretty decent for under £100.
Spec wise you would find an older amd athlon 64 3000 more than good enough look for at elast 1gb ram and hard drive size depends on if you plan to store much stuff ie photos etc.
Yes people will shout me down no doubt about future proofing etc but something like this will run for probably as long as something you'd get new from Dell for 5x the price.0 -
Have a look at the dell site, we managed to get what i think was a good deal it was a vostro 200 dual processor with 500gb hard drive 2048 ddr2, dvd and dvd burner, card reader for £276 delivered and that was without monitor, my friend got similar deal but with monitor for £350 ish.The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
