Your advice please

Hi all, not been on in ages as been completely snowed under with work and wedding planning, it's been a bit rubbish not having the wins arrive on a regular basis!! Hope you are all well and have had lots of lovely wins.

We've just got back from a weekend in Brighton, a comp win from last year run by Easy Living magazine, to celebrate Galaxy choc launching a new product range. The letter said there would be a bottle of champagne and "galaxy treats" as part of the prize, but there wasn't. We didn't mention it to the staff at the hotel as I guess it's nothing to do with them, but OH thinks I should email the PR person to ask about it. I feel a bit funny doing it though, and can't think of any way to word it politely!!

Would you contact them to ask about it? And if so how would you phrase it? Thanks x

Just to say a big thank you for the wonderful prize of a weekend in Brighton,
we had a fantastic time and have many happy memories,

Though one thing i wasn't sure of, My winning confirmation letter said we would have galaxy treats and champagne, are these sent to us? as these were not at the hotel.

seriously i wouldnt worry about it go ahead and email them,how bloomin cheecky do ya think i felt when i emailed a certain company to ask where my car was lmao they musta thought i was a right cheecky **** but at the end of the day you won it,so you should receive it. good luck and dont hesitate just write it email it send it and then theres nothing you can do about it lol

DO YOU MIND ME ASKING WHO THE COMPANY DOING THE COMP WERE AS I HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE
The company running the competition I won was EMAP and I was not impressed by the way t
things were handled at all.
I was told that the luxury hotel I was meant to be staying in was fully booked and that I was being given an alternative, however when I checked they said there was loads of availability, then I was told they were already booked with the other,
then I was told they were over budget and I could only have the less expensive hotel , this tale goes on and on , Big Thumbs Down for EMAP

I totally agree that you thank them for a brilliant time, chickaroonee, and say you were a bit puzzled as your letter had mentioned...... These weren't at the hotel. Could they help? Who should you contact about them, etc. You can't lose as either they'll ignore you and you will be no worse off than you are now, or they'll send it and you are laughing. Good luck.
