Is the OR interview a grilling like the cops? Doe I have to explain what did I spend that on? What was that loan for? If so, how far back do they expect you to remember?

In the beginning, there was nothing.
The Lord said "Let there be light".
There was still nothing, but you could see it.

The fear of the interview is alot worse than it actually is.
Have a read of my account of my OR interview on the following posting: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=766289
My OR went back around 5 years but i think that was due to the fact i had been off work sick for 5 years (been back 7 months now), he was interested in 2 5k loans i took out 4 years ago but didnt mention the 5k loan i took out 2 1/2 years ago.Life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top. I had it all and now its gone
Well my 6 years are now up, now to start to rebuild my life again

Hi empty wallet love the snakes and ladders quote we moved into our house two years ago after having been at the bottom for years, through ill health, death of our daughter and financial troubles. We got to top of ladder until last October whilst on hols when my illness reoccured and in the space of three weeks were on the snake going down again. We are not on bottom step lost house, going into rented, ill, depressed and going BR. Ther only way is up.

I guess your interview 'grilling' will depend on what, and how many assests you have, how many creditors etc................. On the whole people seem to have a good experience, with the odd one or two being the exception. As long as you are as truthful as you can be, I'm sure you will be fine. They will ask questions like when you first had your credit cards, why you took out a loan etc, all typical bog standard questions as far as I can tell, if you cant remember, tell them. You certainly wont be the first, or the last, not to answer all of their questions.
