Cheaper Sky Plan coming out! (for those on Family Pack)

Having read the HUGE Sky thread, I thought I would start a new one for this great news - hope that's okay with the mods, if not, just merge!

I followed what you all said, and stated that I'm not really happy with the increase of sky subscription cost, and that as I only have the family pack (£19.50 at the moment, £21 from 1st September) I was thinking about going onto Freeview! They did the usual talk about how with the music channels, 5 standard channels you only get an extra 15.

Then he went on to tell me the big news! Now this is only really big if you're on Family Pack! They are now splitting the Family Pack into 6 sections, something like, kids, news, music etc etc. You can pay for 2, 4 or 6 of these packs. Now if you only get rid of kids and music then it worked out at about £18 a month! Imagine how much that will be if you only have 2 of those (which I probably will)! Definately worth it if you ask me!

Because they're not 100% that this transistion is going to happen bang on 1st September, they've offered me 3 months at half price (£9.75 a month).

So look out for the information in the next Sky Magazine! It should either be in that, or one of the loose bits of paper! :j

Did this last week.I contacted them through their website rather than ring and it was confirmed in five days.I dropped Music & Kids and will be paying £15.

Do you have the information as to which channels will be in which pack then M.E.2? I'm going to keep the full option as I'm getting it half price for the next three months, but would like to know which packs I'll be choosing if that makes any sense.

yes, that would be good to know, as I think I can save a little, as I don't really need the cartoons or music really.... so that would be handy, and it would be good to know what else to drop....
Can't see it on their website.... being dim I expect.

I didn't realise you could contact them online (without their annoying call centre). Did you use the general "contact us" form or is there a customer account section for this?

Sorry but my son did this for me and he is out but I remember he said it was Sky.com so I assume it is here
I will ask him tomorrow and if not I will post the proper link.
