30th birthday celebration ideas????

Hi all, I am gonna be 30 this summer, and am completely at a loss on how to celebrate, and hoping some of you will be able to give me some ideas?? I am doing London show and hotel overnight with my hubby which am really looking forward to, but want to celebrate with all my friends and family too.
Due to night in London, money is big issue, so the cheaper the better! Ideally I want something that can include all friends (both singles and couples) and family too. Originally I thought about having a party and hiring a room, but can be quite expensive and also we have two young children, the youngest will be 12 months on my birthday. We wouldn't have a babysitter as everyone would be at the party so guess that a no-no.
Just conscious too that a lot of my friends and family don't know each other that well, so not sure if a meal or something similar would be appropriate, esp for single friends.
Sorry for babbling I am just at a loss what to do....don't want the day to pass then be full of regrets for not celebrating to the full, but need to start thinking of something soon.....wish we could guarantee the weather then I could have something outside!!! Its really important to me that all the important people in my life are there and that they have a fantastic time!
Thanks, Vicki x

I remember the works/team night out for my 30th - it was an absolute scream. We went out on the Thursday for tea and because 2 of us didn't live locally, one of our colleagues put us for the night. That was a good team as experienced the next day - we somehow managed to get each other through the Friday!!!
Have you had your birthday yet? If not, what are you plans? If you have, what did you do and how did it go?

I've got a few ideas for my 30th next june, my plan so far is to go to a casino and fingers crossed everyone will dress fairly glam, have a meal at the casino and drinks and hopefully get some demonstration tables put on for guests then people don't have to pay to gamble if they don't want.
Afterwards I was thinking limo rides to a middle eastern theme cafe and hiring a belly dancer for entertainment to finish the night off.
I've never had a big party before for any birthday and only had small wedding with close family so I fancied a bit of do for my 30th.
Does my ideas seem suitable will mainly be couples, singles in late 20's early 30's.For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0
