As stated this DVD recorder contains Freeview and can pause live TV as well as upscaling to 1080i.
The only possible catch is that th items are from bankrupt stock and as such only have 3 month warranties. It also states 'as new' rather than 'new'.
Could be a bargain if you decide to take the plunge or you could hang on and wait 'til the price on this sort of technology drops anyway....

Got an email from Bigpockets about this as well. The recorders are £150 from Argos. Bigpockets are a good company to deal with as they offer a 30 day no quibble money back warranty on all of their bankrupt stock stuff. Just ordered an aigo MP4 player myself. for £9.99 it usually selld for about £60.00.On the bigpockets site bigpockets say the stock is "as new" however on the dvd forums which bigpockets sponser they "this is bankrupt stock but 99.9% of the stock is brand new and still sealed in shrinkwrapped boxes."0 -

I recently returned a few PVR's to bigpockets that were faulty, they arranged a courier at their expense to com and collect them from me, I didnt even have to ask.0

I have got two of these - bought a second for kitchen after liked it so much, I know you can get a review anywhere, but a poster has specifically asked, the EPG is OK, but it only does 3 days worth of channel 4, rest of the channels seem ok though. The other moan I would have about it is it hums ever so slightly, not a problem when it and the telly is on, or in the kitchen where there is background noise, but I often prefer absolute utter silence to go about my chores. To be fair I noticed this the first day I had it, and have never really noticed it again. On the plus side, ridiculously easy to set up, even easier to use, works a treat, massive memory, you can record about 80 hours worth. I think £79.99 is a good deal, as I paid £99, but then again, it is a brand new unit with long guarantee.

No im not a trader, they were sold as "build your own" type PVR's but in reality they were returned goods that were riddled with bugs so I ordered a few so I could pick the one with the best most stable firmware.
Why do you ask anyway ?0 -
Regardless all I was saying was they arranged a courier to collect faulty goods, I dont see why you have any issue with my posts0
