When you register a new Garmin SatNav, they will send you the latest map updates on DVD for free. Other SatNav brands charge you a lot for this!!

just a note, if you want one, be quick, as i would be very surprised if there are many in stock, as the price ending in 97p indicates this is discontinued stock, and they will be as rare as rocking horse ****.

Full street-level mapping just the same as the UK.

Maps on the unit will be last year's, however, as I stated above, Garmin send you their latest map set on DVD FREE when you regsiter.

In the case of the Nuvi 370, you will get sent both of the following:

UK and Europe (which would cost £110) 2008 edition.
North America (which would cost £100) 2009 edition.

As mentioned in the above thread there are a lot of new sat nav's coming out in the next few months with real 3d navagation from TeleAtlas which is about to bought out by Tom Tom.

Yup, already buried in another generic thread about 'cheapest' satnavs.

This is a quick short-lived Grabbit on it's own however and not actually the cheapest satnav - which are around £50-£70.

Seen that.

It let me order the free UK/Europe map update and stated that the North America 2009 update will be released in April 2008 and gave me a link to order the free update when it is released (I think???)...

Got the 370 at Huddersfield, also showing in stock at Halifax.

Re the updates I am with Adek, if you bought the better model for its map content then you should get the total update package and not be made to choose only half of it.
