Hi, I went bankrupt almost 4 years ago,I think the relief of when the phone rings or you hear the post outweighs the negatives mentioned;) ( I hated the phone ringing)
But regarding insurance, I decided to look for home insurance and on the compare type web sites; the question are you or anyone in your household bankrupt came up.
I did find with Yorkshire Building Society it didn't:p It still gave me a good price too.

When making a claim with More Than sometime last year I was asked if anyone in our household had ever been bankrupt. At that time I though it was an odd question - it was before I was considering BR and I still don't know what difference it makes unless they think all BRs will make fraudulent claims.
