Wine making kits on the high street

Options
Does anyone know if Morrisons still sell home brew stuff ie wine kits?

I am thinking of having another go at wine (made last lot a couple of years ago then lost intrest) but it has to be a kit to get me back into it.

I may then have a go at making some from scratch but I don't want to walk before I can run!

The last lot I made was from the House of Beaverdale range and was very nice but it cost £36 which is a bit steep at the minute.

Thought I may try a smaller less expensive kit to start off again with.

my local one does. not sure how much they cost tho, as i've only glanced at them when passing!!
you'd be better off going to a home brew shop......they'll be cheaper, and you'd get lots of free advice as well!! ;)

Not sure if Morrisons do still them....
You could try making it from fruit juice, first, as opposed to making them from scratch. It will help you form good habits.
The best book on the market IMHO is Berry's... which gives great advice and recipes for both scenarios.

Thanks, I was sure I had seen them in there but it was quite a while ago.

The nearest home brew shop is about 17 miles away which isn't that far but the Morrisons is only about 4 miles away so thought I would see what they have first.

Yep, I have seen some recipes using cartons of juice etc but they seem to take ages to mature. I want something to drink that is decent in about 6 weeks.

The Beaverdale was lovely but I can't remember which red I liked the best!

I think I may go ahead and order one of those kits anyway online as some places don't charge delivery on those as they are £36.

The Beaverdale ones are nice. I'm into the Merlot one at the moment:D
Although, most of the online shops that I have used, do charge delivery if your order is less than £50 or £60.
Fruit juice wine can also be ready in 6 weeks.... although some is better if it has been matured for a while. It just depends on what your raw ingredients are.... But the same could be said for the Beaverdale wines.

    Good Luck

I know one of the Beaverdale was the Borolo but I can't remember what the other red was. I was a bit of a wuss though, didn't put the oak chips in there as I thought I might spoil it so even though it was very nice, it may have been nicer if I had put those in.
