Sorry my last post crossed with yours. You're right, why should you carry it all. There's no need to be bitter either as thats just the way it goes (my OH seems to think I'm to blame for all of our financial mess and blaming and being bitter just doesn't do anyone any good!)

    FYP.

As my sig says - you cant change the past, so OH having a go at you isnt productive at all...after all that debts will still be there and creditors still want paid etc.

Good luck with it all though.

lol...thanks sweetie...you see im a nurse (Veterinary) so plenty of time spent talking to owners of pets trying to make them always look on the bright side of life (try saying that without singing it!!).

just talking/typing makes it all a bit clearer as you get it out of your head so it doesnt end up going round and round...plus we can then help you out as best we can.

Good luck with the rental hunt tm..i've got mine booked for 1.30pm so i'll let you know how it goes.

    Dave

Its just me going BR. The only joint thing we have is our mortgage. Luckily the business we had was all in my name. It will be much easier for us if only one of us has to go BR. He has under £20k of debt and some of that we're trying to get rid of quickly. Our house has very little equity so he will buy my share out so that we can keep our house. We can't sell it before Oct anyway because we have severe early redemption penalty which would eat All of our equity and then some! As I've said (not in this post I don't think) our montly mortgage payment is the same or cheaper than renting in our area anyway and we wouldn't get a house as big as ours for the money.

that sounds good FYP..no point losing house if renting isnt viable. Does your OH know the implications regarding the house transfer and joint liability situation?

it does sound like you have taken plenty of advice on the matter.
