In a new fixed rate deal - can they change it?

Hi, just a quickie ...
We just took a new fixed rate deal in December 07 for 2 years. Had to pay the HLC at the time too, as the valuation was just under what we needed at 96% I believe.
With the market looking more stringent with new lending at the moment, I was wondering whether mortgage companies would be looking at cancelling existing contracts? I havent checked the terms and conditions - to be honest, I just thought about it! Mortgagees are First Active (RBS, I think).
It's literally just a thought ...
Thanks!

No, the fixed rate is binding on them till Dec 09. They can't cancel an existing mortgage.poppy100
