but not sure if it is a con as they ask for a returnable £50 pound deposit each up front and the site looks a little dodgey.
just wondering what anyone else thought

I think it sounds dodgy - if it were a real prize they wouldn't ask you to pay you a deposit! They'll probably give you a really hard sell to buy photos and you'll feel ripped off.2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -
Sorry but I think its a scam, they keep on coming up on here, if its a win you shouldnt have to pay any money.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for

I 'won' one of these ten years ago when I was 18. It was through a student competition and every person I knew that entered (over a dozen) also won, which set the alarm bells ringing!
I didn't go but two of my friends did- the makeover was free but then they got pressured into buying the photos afterwards. To be fair, they were really nice photos, but they ended up spending about £200 each, which they regretted later once the heat of the moment had passed. Even now they have these lovely photos, but they say they can't display them because it brings back all the bad feelings of being pressured into the sales. One of the girls was a disappointed with the makeover too- she went expecting some tips on what colours suited her etc, but said that they put on really heavy 'stage make-up' that would cope with the heavy duty lighting and she looked like the Tango Man!
In short, I'm very sceptical of these makeover wins, and since you have to pay something up front, I would say back off gracefully. It's not really a win if you end up spending more money than usual, is it? :rolleyes:0 -
Have you got a bargepole? If so, don't bother using it!
Have a look at the scam thread and try to report them.
