Feeling ok though! Does anyone else have any Good Friday traditions?
Not really a tradition but I won't be eating any meat today, just fish but OH had his mate from work staying over last night and they are planning bacon sarnies for breakfast:mad: DS's are off to cinema today then a burger so I guess its only me who will be sticking to the rules...doesnt seem worth getting the fryer out for one...think I will just have fish fingers and chips.
Also dedicating my Good Friday to the cause of washing and ironing...who would be a woman!
Need to get sorted though ready for party night thread tonight..how sad am I looking forward to that xx it does round my week off nicely though with a good laugh. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
windy here. I'm going to have a go at making some hot cross buns later as I've got all the ingredients in the house.
I'll be AQA'ing from around lunch, going to take my boy out in a bit, then stick dinner in the SC, then start work.
Nice that I'm getting holiday pay for today from my new job, but I need to also do AQA - can't forget my 'main' job is only 18 hours!
Also tempted to have a go at making a mega big wagon wheel. I've found a recipe for making one.
After all of yesterday's exciting news I wonder what today will bring!"Stay Wonky":D

Plan for the day is to take the girls to a playbarn type place with SIL and one of Ste's work mates.
This evening I've got my training party for my AS which'll be good fun...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I feel I might have a strange addiction to buying and hording tins of pulses.
I've just realised I can't see any tinned tomatoes in the cupboard, so I thought I'd haul the tins out to find any tins lurking at the back.
I've just pulled out
9 tins of baked beans
4 tins of butter beans
4 tins of chick peas
5 tins of cannelini beans
2 tins of pinto beans
1 tin of kidney beans
Whole unopened bag of dried pulses for soup mix
Whole bag of dried pearl barley
but no tomatoes - which is bizarre as I've normally got about 8 cans!!!
It was worse, yesterday I used a tin of lentils in dinner, threw away a bag of dried and very out of date aduki beans and I've just added a can of cannelini beans (not in the list above!) to the slow cooker!
When I do the shopping with OH's monthly contribution, I always stick a load of each in as storecupboard items, but I think I've overstocked!!!
I'm now off to look at the list I've got with Asda at the moment for delivery at the beginning of April and I think I'll remove all the tins of pulses and swap for something else!!
EDIT: I'm just removing
5 tins of chick peas
2 tins of pinto beans
3 tins of butter beans
7 (!) tins of baked beans
from the shopping trolley........."Stay Wonky":D

...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0
