Ahh ok thats obvios now when i look at the harddrive you showed me.

It saves having to put in a slave drive as a novice may find fitting a slave drive a bit of a issue, so a caddy/enclosure is the easy option and you can back up all important stuff to a new HDD in a caddy, especially in your case you could move all your music photos and film onto the new drive thus freeing up the main PC.

I would get a bigger drive though as you have already filled up your PC

    Bigger drive http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130454

Yes with this drive you can just move all the photos and stuff from the My Documents folder and plonk the lot on a drive as shown

Well im currently in use of 3 ext. harddrives, but sadly they are all pretty much full now.
I just wanted to format a partition to fat32 so can use it on xbox or ps3, for playing video files on a tv easily.

Trust me the majority is not 'clutter'. It's mainly DVDs I have backed up, so dont have them lying around everywhere to get scratched.

Maybe a terrabyte drive then, why not just get another drive and put the ps stuff on that.
