RGP contact lenses

i am looking to start wearing contacts again, and long term RGP are ususally the cheapest. Does anyone know where is a good place to have the fitting and buying of the lenses.i know that you can buy them online for about £50,. but i need the persciption and fitting first.thanks in advanceMike

RGPs need a lot of adjustment to get the prescription right. If you need a simple RGP, coastalcontacts sell them online.

What I have been doing is buying them from d&a and using their contact lens care scheme. they guarantee all the contact lens checks are free and you pay a one-off fitting fee until they find the right prescription.

You get 40% off new lenses (which are not that much more expensive than online prices)

No other high street store are as cheap as them when it comes to RGP, strangely. They are about £40 for a toric RGP and £35 for a standard RGP on the contact lens care scheme.

they do a monthly RGP scheme for normal ones that works out cheaper because you can stop the scheme after 2-3 months and build up a collection of lenses.
