£3 skirts in M&S. Large sizes only

In Marks and Spencer's today they had quite a few racks of clothes all in sizes 26 and 28 for £3. They were mostly skirts, two styles which were nice, and cotton cropped trousers. I don't think their sizing usually goes up to those sizes, so I don't know where they came from.
