i am very priviliged to have been invited to a colleagues wedding. this will be quite a posh affair.she has asked us to wear a sari for the occasion.
my other colleague and i are a bit at a loss as we are your typical plump english roses.
we live in the north west so where do we go looking for outfits?
i also think i would look better in a trouser/tunic type outfit (would that be acceptable)
another question is, can you hire a sari? as we would probably never wear it again.
we dont mind the cost, just want to look smart.
thanks for any help

hire a sari, i doubt it, no friends you can borrow them from? don't need a specific size sari its the blouse thats the problem which is usually made specifically for each persons measurements, so even if you could hire a sari the blouse would be a problem
nice sari's arent really that expensive, where abouts are you based? iis there an asian part of town you can stroll down and get some advice, you can get sari's which are half made if your not too sure how to wear them
if not a nice punjabi suit can range from £50-hundreds but make life a lot easierYes Your Dukeiness

I am amazed she has not offered to lend you one for the occasion
Go to the asian area of the nearest large city and there will be some asian clothes shops selling them
You can get them for £50-£60
You just need one that looks smart but doesnt need to be made of fab material if your only wearing it the once
They will show you how to wear itNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0
