Anyone know owt about Index numbers:confused:

Have to teach AAT students how to apply retail price index to a base year to show adjusted sales figures over time. I don't know what the fark I am doing but I should be able to fake it....they dont usually notice.

If only students knew what went on behind the scenes in colleges! Thank God they don't!

It depends which way round you want to do it - whether you want to express all sales in "old" money or all sales in "new" money.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

LOL, remember that well when I used to be an IT Trainer. I never could get my head around Excel and used to bulls**t my way through it!

I used to feel the same when i was doing Outlook training in my old job, you'd be sailing along confident in the knowledge that you knew more than the people you were training and up would pop some upstart (usually male!) and ask would it not be quicker doing some fancy pants short cut or another, or you can also do it like this.........

Used to p1ss me right off i can tell you!!!

No need to worry about that in my current job! zzzzzzzzz

Should always view that as free training for yourself. A cost-free way to improve the service you provide.

    Or something like that.. ;)

I always made a mental note of whatever it was for my own use! but usually it was some smarty pants shortcut, and i was supposed to be doing the training using full long ways round navigating, as opposed to short cuts kinda way.....

It's hard teaching young people anything IT related as they could teach most people over 25 a thing or two anyway!!

I'd love to learn web site design........ maybe once i've completed my bookkeeping course I'll do that.

Incidently, i got A passes on my first batch of home work!! yay me!!!:T
