It depends on the type of DVD Player you require. I have a HD Ready, Hard Drive DVD Player in my front room, these have dropped in price since I bought mine.

However, if you just want a bogstandard one, I buy the one for my bedroom from Asda. £18, plays DVD's and you get a One Year Guarantee. Take it back before the year is up and they will replace it, no questions asked.
