Abbey National ADVICE NEEDED

Havent posted for a while, have been struggling with my debt issues and trying to get sorted, but need some advice re Abbey National.
Had a bank account with them and a large overdraft. Due to exceeding this overdraft and getting hit monthly by massive banking charges run up a considerably larger amount than my overdraft figure. Moved my account to another bank and started the process of reclaiming bank charges thru an agency tht offers no win no fee ( I KNOW I KNOW i should have done this myself and saved the fee, but thought this would be the easy route then all reclaiming put on hold GRRRRR) tried to make a payment offer which was way too high (couldnt keep it up but Abbey threatning me with all sorts and not interested or listening to what I had to say) then received letter saying they would start court proceedings.
Due to some health issues thought ok not ideal but at least things will get sorted with a reasonable amount I can pay albeit thru a court order.
Now today I have received a letter for P.I.B (Parkgate investigation bureau)
Informing me that my account has been passed for investigation and unless I make contact with them my account will be passed to a doorstep collector and that a visit from one of their trace and audit investigators will be actioned with them making open enquiries into my current financial position.
What is this? Is it legal and can Abbey do this? Is it just scare tactics or should I be really worried.
I have just been diagnosed with a health condition that is stress aggravated and feel that this is just another worry for me that I cant deal with. am already at breaking point after going to court for a suspended possesion order (which I am maintaining!!) and feel really low with no fight left in me.
Feel like just giving up and telling everyone I owe to to do what they need to do, cant take the stress anymore.
Any advice would be gratefully received. Sorry for big long madwoman ramble, just need to clear this up sorry.

jazzy i know this company, they are known as Debt Managers a few years ago i used to work for them, the trace and audit part means that abby can not confirm you are at the property that is why they do this search, it is legal its a bit like a credit search to find out the address of the last property where you obtained credit,
what i will tell you is Debtmanagers and abby accound can lead to legal action if you dont make any contact,
my advise is write to the head office in edinburgh with details of your income and expenditure and details of the claim that is going through and ask them to place it on hold while the claim is dealt with, if they refuse this offer them a token payment of £1per month
btw the head office will in 99% of the time not refuse any offers made
http://www.debt-managers.co.uk/ - there address on the website
hope this helps
I understand the concepts of cooking and cleaning
........ I Just dont understand how they apply to me!0
