Intrum Justitia - be afraid...be very afraid

Hi,A rather worrying bit of news on Intrum Justitia's website, regarding an announcement the made on 5th March, which also highlights a case of government 'left hand doesn't know what the right's doing'. I don't know if the news has made this site yet (I can only check on it for about half an hour a day).http://www.intrum.co.uk/scroll.asp?ID=imgmenu6a1& PID=2It was announced in 2006 that the DWP was going to start allocating debts out to collection agencies due to overspill (I believe on CSA debts mainly). Now it seems that collection firms, despite the government's mealy-mouthed 'something's got to be done' stance in the Commons on 18th December 2007 (the case of Beryl Brazier was highlighted on this day), they're going to let these very same unfit firms to inflict their misery on an even wider scale than they do now!I do have a grudge against IJ, and seriously don't believe they should be given the job of spraying weeds, never mind handling DWP debts. So, I've written to my MP about it, being that he was actually one who commented on the Brazier case on the day the case was aired.Whether or not an MP's letter would do any good is academic, but it's got to be worth a shot. I've done exactly that - anybody else think this is an idea worth trying?Maybe the government might actually listen for a change. Anybody want the letter I wrote posted, so they might be able to forward one on to their local MP? Much as it may tempt me, I've kept what I'd really to say in the letter to myself.
