Post Office 3yr Fixed Deal for 1st Time Buyer

Hi! I'm new to this forum and all of this mortgage stuff! After reading Martin's mortgage guide and lurking around these forums I've managed to gain a bit of knowledge into how to buy a house. But I'm still a bit stuck!
First a bit of background on my situation: I'm a first time buyer with my wife and we're looking at around a 95% LTV. I've got a couple of mortgage brokers that I'm in talks with and they've come up with some fairly decent fixed rates. However, they don't seem to match the 5.34% for 3 years deal that the Post Office is currently offering, along with no Higher Lending Charge and with an Arrangement Fee of £399.
So, the question is, as the Post Office don't deal with brokers, do I go-it-alone with the Post Office? Or are there any hidden charges that I should be careful about? Would I be safer with a broker, but at a slight price premium?
So many questions! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
