Mystery Shopping On My CV - Good Or Bad?

I'm applying for a new job, as a GRADUATE TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT. I'm in the process off glamming up my online CV. I was just wondering if I should put my MYSTERY SHOPPING work on there as well? I'm not entirely sure though hence this post. If I put it on, I could say I have an eye for detail, I'm punctual, reliable etc and make myself sound really good. But at the same time, I don't want to come across as being a boring sod that has nothing better to do than mystery shopping. ** Can you guys help me out here? If I do put it on my online CV, what exactly should I say? I need about 3 or 4 bullet points that are gonna make me sound really clever and what not. ** Help me out. ** Thanks in advance.

if there is lots of other experience you can expand on then leave it
but as long as you hav e a few things under interests think theyd be happy with MSYes Your Dukeiness0 -
I know what you mean Id be a bit wary too, cos they might think you're a bit of a goody 2shoes, or at worst, a grass!
But if you think you'll almost certainly get an interview, if I were you I'd put it down on your CV in a more vague way if you can, then talk it up in the interview!0 -
The job has given you lots of skills. Bullet points could be:
- excellent written communication skills (from report writing)
- ability to work under pressure (flying out for a last minute emergency burger!)
- able to meet deadlines
- well motivated (I'm sure you've had a "rather stay in the armchair" moment and had to force yourself out!)
- good eye for detail
- ability to follow instructions
I would put it on as it gives the interviewer something to talk about. You are probably the only candidate who does this work, so it'll make you stick in the interviewers mind when they are deciding on who to appoint.Here I go again on my own....0 -
Have you considered a re title, for instance consumer researcher or service improvement investigator/operative. The skill set that you developed in this role are worthwhile and should be included in your CV, accentuating the positives.0

Well, I have done a bit more research, and was told it would be pointless me applying for that job as you have to have a 2.1 or above, and I missed out by a bit, and got a 2.2. I think I will apply anyway, for a laugh. ** Anyway, Becles, you are a honey. Now I know what to put. If I was doing the bullet points myself, they would be 2000 word essays for each. LOL. I go a bit OTT. I'm applying for a few other Finance related job, and if I go on about EYE FOR DETAIL etc, I think it will put me in better stead than others. ** Thanks again.0

'Service assessor / auditor' is what I term 'mystery shopping' as on my CV. It just sounds a bit more respectible.
Much in the same way that the local lollipop man is a 'crossing patrol officer' and the bin man is an 'evironmental hygenist'.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!0 -

- honesty.... trusted (presumably not all reports are checked?)
- able to work on your own
- ability to plan/organise your timeTorgwen.....................
