My Tooth Hurts

  • Whilst you're trying to get your dentist to find out what the problem is, a little bit of clove oil dabbed on the tooth will help with the pain :)

Only if it's an open cavity. Clove oil can sometimes (But not that often) sooth the pain of an exposed nerve, but if the dentist has seen the tooth and missed an open cavity, he shouldn't be doing the job!!

(I have seen this happen a couple of times though)
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

Sorry to resurrect a thread but I think I've been grinding my teeth in my sleep, or at least I waken up in the night with my lower RHS teeth hurting like mad and the 'hinge' of the jaw also sore. I've also been having headaches when I waken. And yes I am stressed :( which I am hoping is temporary. Should I see my dentist about it or just figure it will go away? And any tips from anyone who has suffered from it?

**edit** should have added I am up to date with checkups etc
