Mortgage in Sole name but both paying half

Hello,

The mortgage and the house I have with my partner is in his name only. I pay half of everything but at the time he got the mortgage I was in a Tempoary. Now do I really need to get this changed? On my bank statements and direct debits to his bank account everything is named so it links with this property.. So saying in the case we split up would I still legally be entitled to half the house even though my name is not on anything (apart from the bills we have in Joint Names) Or could i get kicked out with nothing (worse case scenario..)

Basically what i'm asking is, is it worth getting him to put my name on the actuall mortgage? Or will they be funny about adding someones name without credit checks ect.. and also in the case of seperation without my name on anything where would i stand??

Many thanks for any help!
