When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning sophiesmum and everyone :hello:
Today I have checked my online banking, my lovely mum transferred me some money to book family flights and told me to keep the change (£46  ) so that should pay for a fun easter/birthday weekend! I have paid about £1800 off my debts this month so not feeling too bad about treating myself...
I have checked for mystery shops too, nothing yet... and brought in breakfast from home. Will have to have lunch out as we have a new trainee starting and it's tradition, but will see if I can wangle a contribution from her manager
See you later!

We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
I have just joined toluna, not bad though takes ages for it all to load and the spelling on the site is awful lol. Think Im on about 2000 points.0

Stick with it Cleo's Mum,
keep logging on to do the sponsored polls, make sure your profile is up to date for an extra 2000 points I think it was...and register every month to test items. I've had a couple to test, the surveys can be frustrating when it kicks you out after doing half the thing but my points seem to add up pretty quick.
I just cashed a voucher in Feb and I'm already back up to 7000 points.
Valued opinions seem better for surveys that don't kick you out, I'm up to £11 on there now

You've got to have SOME treats!
I get the really cheap little bottles of french beer from Mossies and 2 for 1 lemonade to make shandy - refreshing and lasts longer!

I've just gone through my DD's and reduced my monthly outgoings by £86.97 - thought that my monthly expenditure was as low as it could go but Martin's Direct Debit D-Day prompted me to look again - I've just saved £1043.64 a year by a few phonecalls, took about 20 mimutes. Definitely worth a shot!
A very happy Lorna xThanks for the advice Martin! :money:Member no. 920 - Proud to be dealing with our debts0
