I was in Next (high street store) yesterday and the SA quietly told me some of the things I'd bought would probably be in the sale next week and to hang on to the receipt! I don't know if they are told in advance what is going in but he seemed to think it would be quite a big sale.

I almost lost the will to live waiting for my son to choose clothes yesterday so I'm not looking forward to another trip to see if the same things are in the sale

Next Clearance shops are not the same as Next shops.

They usually have loads of stuff from past seasons, shoved on bulging rails in no particular style or sizing order.
They also tend to dump all accessories into big grey tubs.

They also have 'Special Purchase' items that have never seen the inside of a Next shop.

They eventually reduce stuff to 'silly' prices, such as:
    all trousers £4.00
    all tops £3.00
    etc etc

I've got some fabulous bargains from Next Clearance, including full length leather boots for £5.00 and a watch for £2.00 (priced at £34.99).

It's not easy shopping, but you can grab a bargain - unless you're looking to buy lots of current season stuff.

If you see somone who hasn't got a smile, give them one of yours.

It's usually a two day mid season sale, both Saturday and Sunday, although it used to be just a one day sale. Have they reverted back to this?

I was told today by a member of staff in store that it won't be online.
