    Wallet to put money in

A CD or Dvd get an idea from him what he would like as he will know what bands or films hes in to and then without telling him get it for him :)

    hope these help

how about a magazine subscription? I'd quite like one myself! and I know quite a few boys that subscribe to various magazines!

I know people think there is no thought with money, but I think an 18 year old lad would appreciate it more, that way he can spend how he wants or put it towards something he really wants.

Better still a years subscription to C.A.M.R.A. and a trip round a Brewery.
Make him appreciate real ale not that lager crap.

Another idea that won't cost much is a personalised CD. My son and all his friends have turned 18 within the last year and I have made one for each of them and they always go down well. I have also made them for a few friend's 40th and 50th and these end up as double or even triple CDs and they are always well appreciated.

Have a look at this website http://www.onlineweb.com/theones/ to find out what was No.1 on his birthday every year since the day that he was born. Download the songs and burn onto a CD.

Personalise it with either a photo of him as a baby or a really nice current one and call it "......'s 18 years of No.1 Hits"
