Is this a specialist cleaning job? He may well be mad if he comes home and finds the mess, but he would be worse, surely, if you have done irreparable damage with some solvent or other. Is it a glass screen?

You can get wipes for it. I found out when DS stuck double sided sticky tape to our 2 week old one!

I would say try and get as much of without pressure or spreading it IYSWIM? Try and grab as much of and then clean it with the smallest of movement so it does not spread.

I don't have any luck with damp cloths, I spend hours trying to get it smear free. I stick to a microfibre cloth.

Could you use the trick of putting wax paper over it (as crayon is made of wax), then blowing it with a hairdryer so that the wax (crayon) melts and is absorbed by the wax paper? This is usually suggested for candle wax on clothes (using an iron instead of a hairdryer), so don't know how well it would fare with a tele!

thank you all for your comments but in the end i used a dry jaycloth and this worked brilliantly now my tele is smear free too :D
  • I have just realised that my little girl has scribbled on my husbands pride and joy! (the plasma tv). I am new to this as a mother, she has only been interested in crayoning for a few days, having previously preferred to eat them.

    Therefore my guard was down!

Any ideas on how I can remove it?

    Thanks

Has your daughter not pushed the TV out of top place in his affections

I have no idea, but will add this to the exisitng thread on this subject to see if that will help ;)

    hey actiongirl

as you can see i had this problem too and yes my hubby felt the same way about his tv boys and their toys ehh:rotfl:well all i did was let the screen get hot (let your daughter watch cartoons for an hour) then turn it off and just wipe it over with a dry cloth and it will just come off no cleaners and no scrubbing nothing to ruin the screen.
